Kylie Bearse joined the ABC4 weather team as the weekend forecaster in July 2013. After spending the last decade in the mountains, the Beehive State instantly felt like home.
Kylie started her career with the ABC affiliate in Idaho Falls as a reporter/weekend weather forecaster after graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder. A few months later, she found her schedule completely flipped around when she was promoted to morning anchor. While she loved being at the desk, she quickly learned she missed the excitement and challenge that comes with forecasting. She’s now pursuing her meteorology degree online with Mississippi State University.
Kylie Bearse is a true “triple threat” when it comes to on-air talent: she thrives behind the desk, in front of the green screen and loves whenever she gets out in the field. She is the go-to reporter for Utah’s environmental and meteorological stories – but she’ll take a fun feature any day! While Kylie has only worked in Salt Lake City since 2013, her career in Idaho Falls brought her to Utah often. Her series on Idaho children at Primary Childrens helped raise more than $250,000 dollars at the 2013 Telethon. She also helped a young boy’s dream to meet Ellen DeGeneres a reality. A producer saw her story on Tayt Andersen, who was born without the left side of his heart, and brought him on the Ellen Show to meet his “girlfriend.”
